Opportunities To Be Harnessed And Drive Your Business Forward!

40% of management consultants and HR specialists are prepared to cut rates by about 15% for the charity sector. Lawyers give a 14.9% discount. Finance and accounting professionals give the lowest average discount! From www.people4charity.com Do you know what discounts, if any, your organisation gives to charitable organisations? What difference might it make to your business if others were made aware of this? If you are a charity, do you ask for a discount?

An amendment last year to regulations covering discrimination on grounds of religion or belief has broadened the definition of belief to include any strongly held belief that affects an employee's lifestyle. This may include, for example, environmental concerns. So how well do you know your employees, their lifestyles and what they believe in? As an organisation, do you think that it is in your interests to do so OR ought there to be a divide between private and working lives?

Are we as a nation equipping ourselves adequately as managers? Management Today and the Chartered Management Institute have conducted research which shows that there is a predicted management skills shortage of 48% if we are to achieve what we need to as a nation. Have you predicted your management needs for the future? Do you have a plan to achieve that need? If not, what will be the implications for your organisation?

Research from CIPD shows that 2/3 of people say they are not thanked enough at work, with a third saying they are not thanked at all. What motivates your people? If you do not know, should you be finding out? Pay is not the main motivator for everyone in your organisation... What are the implications of that for you?
